Many competitors and teams traveled great distances to be a part of this year's event. Some traveled from as far away as Tahiti, Mexico, New Jersey, Washington, Texas, Utah, Oregon, Arizona, Hawaii and Nevada.
New systems were implemented this year including Black belt Concierge Service, New Holding Area & Staging procedures and awards presented on competition floor with available podium photos.
GTMA participated as one of the vendors and also demonstrated the new Adidas Electronic Body Protectors. Competitors who tried sparring in EBP were excited to experience the newest technology in Taekwondo, and the feed backs were positive all around; harder to score, yet rewards aggressive fighting style, making the fight more exciting to be in and to watch.
Competitiors and visitors to GTMA booth also had an opportunity to kick, punch and measure how hard they can hit on the EBP set up on BOB.
